AmeriWay is a translation app for Ukrainian and Russian speakers who live in the United States. It translates a conversation, a film or a sign into your own language.

What AmeriWay does

Talk with people on one phone
One phone is enough for both of you. AmeriWay listens to the conversation and shows the translation as text. If you allow it, it also says the translation aloud.

Subtitles for films and videos
AmeriWay listens to the sound of a film or a video and shows the translation as subtitles. Some apps do not allow this, and AmeriWay cannot translate them.

Signs and labels
Point the phone camera at a sign or a label. AmeriWay shows the text in your language.
Who it is for
AmeriWay is made for Ukrainian-speaking and Russian-speaking families in the United States. It is for people who are still learning English, and for the people who help them, such as a son, a daughter or a neighbor.
You can translate into Ukrainian, Russian or English.

$0
Free, $0. Your phone does the translation. Your speech and your text never leave it. After a one-time download of the speech models, it works without internet. It supports six languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English, German, French and Spanish. You pick the other person's language yourself. The quality is lower, because the speech models that fit on a phone are small. There is no limit on minutes, because your phone does the work. Text on the screen and from the camera is translated on your phone too. Your phone reads the translations aloud with its built-in voices.

Pro
$5.99 a month
Pro, $0.99 for the first month, then $5.99 a month until you cancel, or $49.99 a year. Our servers do the translation, over an encrypted connection. The other person can speak any of the 38 languages the app supports, and the app finds the language itself. The quality is higher, because our servers run large models. 600 minutes of speech a month; the first $0.99 month has 150. A minute is a minute of sound sent to our servers. While your phone speaks the translation aloud, its microphone is muted, and that time is not counted. When the month's minutes are used up, the app tells you, and Pro goes on with the next month. Text on the screen and from the camera is translated on our servers. Your phone reads the translations aloud with its built-in voices.

Family, $9.99 a month until you cancel. Pro for up to 5 people, with 1,500 minutes a month shared among them.
In our test of 2026-10-31 on recorded read speech, Pro got about 19 words in 20 right in English, Russian and Ukrainian. Free got about 4 words in 5 right in English and Russian, and about 3 in 5 in Ukrainian. Across a living room both fall: Pro to about 1 word in 2, Free to about 1 in 5.
Paid plans are bought in the app store and renew until you cancel. Prices in US dollars.
